Description

Honestly, I don't like TigerBreath13, but he ran out of ideas for creatures, so I made these creatures for him. Hopefully he will learn from this picture not to add anthropomorphic forms for is imaginary creatures. Anywho, let me tell you about these creatures.

Warnago (Luculentuspinnulas pellicio)- A type of reptile with sexual dimorphism. The frills of the male are used for scaring predators, but also used for attracting females. The male with vibrant, brightly colored frills is more likely to attract females than the male with dull, grayish frills. The frills also come in multiple patterns. This species lives in the jungle understory amongst the branches of trees, and eat insects.

Tuskoa (Titanistruthio denterostro)- A large bird species that lives in the grasslands of Jellienia. Its tusks are actually extensions of its beak, only used for scaring rival predators and other Tuskoas away from its kill. Tuskoas are some of the most feared of all predators in the Jellienian grasslands as they hunt prey of nearly all sizes and its long legs help it chase its prey. Its wings; now useless for flight, also scare away enemies.

Meramander (Jellieniandrias marinus)- A Jellienian version of the Japanese Giant Salamander that has ventured out into the ocean, specifically the tropical coasts. Although lethargic, it is a predator of most species that live in the tropical coasts of Jellienia, relying on ambush to catch its prey. It still has to breathe air and must spend several minutes surfacing above the water in order to breathe. During mating time, mass groups of Meramanders compete at the beach the one who has defeated the challenger earns the ability to find a suitable female and start spawning. After that, they return to the water. In the picture, we see a Meramander chasing two Fur-Bearing Trout (Jellienisalmo pseudogouna).

Slimanguillazz (Limusmuraena altum)- This deep sea predator has the ability to excrete slime from its body, but only to fend off enemies. Its main skill is ambush. It hides in a deep crevasse like a small den, then it waits for prey to arrive, and when its prey gets too close, its springs out of its cave and snaps its prey between its jaws, it finally returns to its cave where it shall feast.

Falxarg (Dracomantis titanis)- Reaching a maximum size of 1.2 meters long, the Falxarg is a bug that you shouldn't mess with. With large scythes, this creature can slice anything that gets in its way. This creature was once the largest insect in the Jellienian forests, until an extinction wiped this creature, along with other creatures out. The extinction also destroyed multiple forests, thus dropping the oxygen content of Jellienia, preventing colossal insects from evolving ever again.

Strangling Pythorazz (Jellenipython suffoco)- The Strangling Pythorazz is Jellienia's deadliest non-venomous snake, growing to a length of 7.6 meters long! This creature lives in the temperate forests of Jellienia, hanging onto the trees. It feeds on large prey such as large herbivorous mammals, and it has a cruel way of killing these herbivores. The pythorazz lets go of its home tree and latches onto its prey's neck, then it bites the prey's neck with its long, dagger-like fangs, gushing the prey's blood out. The victim will die in a few minutes while this is happening, and when its prey is dead, it feasts on its prey and returns to its tree after it has no more room in its stomach to eat. This species is also a very territorial one, if an intruder invades the Strangling Pythorazz's personal space, it will hiss loudly at the intruder and will keep doing that until the intruder leaves.

Arboreal Sprintcroc (Velocicrocodilius arbor)- This creature is the descendant of the active Runner Crocodile (Velocicrocodilius velox). This creature adapted a life in the trees, where it can be safe from predators, since it became smaller and lighter. Its hunts up in the trees and sometimes on the ground of the jungle. Its favorite food is birds, although difficult to catch, this creature's speed makes it easier to chase birds.

Gibbon Frog (Gigantohyla acrobates)- Although not a gibbon, the Gibbon Frog is the largest tree frog in Jellienia, growing up to 65 centimeters tall and has a 35 centimeter long armspan! It is also the most active of all Jellienian amphibians. Its long arms enables it to swing from branch to branch with ease and its tongue developed two proto-fingers to act as an extra fifth appendage. The fifth arm is not only useful for catching insects, but it is also useful for grasping onto high branches of trees, that is, if its arms can't reach the branch. Like all treefrogs, this creature lives in dense forests, specifically tropical rainforests.

Revealing Jelliedrake (Mandrakus hibernatus)- A type of plant that is classified as a "Jellienian Mandrake". It is called the "Revealing Jelliedrake" because it unfolds in the spring. This plant has an unusual seasonal behavior, reacting differently to different seasons. In the spring, this plant starts to photosynthesize and develops a flower. In the summer, this plant's flower starts to emit a sweet-smelling scent that attracts pollinators to collect nectar, but the scent also attracts herbivores, putting the plant in danger. If the pollinator pollinates the plant quickly, the plant stops emitting the scent, thus the herbivores will stop following the scent to the source and the herbivores are forced to find another plant to eat. In the autumn(fall), if the plant is lucky, the flower decays and eventually produces a sweet tasting fruit. Nearby frugivores might be able to eat this succulent fruit and eventually, spread the seeds inside the fruit, which the seeds will grow into a new plant. Later in fall, the plant begins to prepare itself for winter by curling up and stops photosynthesizing. If the plant hasn't had anything consume its fruit, the fruit shrivels up and decomposes. Finally, in the winter, the plant is completely curled up, enduring the harsh winter and will remain that way until things warm up, continuing the endless cycle.
